Laurie Gerardin found her passion at a young age. From the time she was a little girl, she has been obsessed with using her talent for hair design as a creative outlet. In middle school, she worked as a salon assistant with Rita North, a wonderful, supportive mentor. By her senior year in high school, Laurie was attending academic classes in the morning while attending cosmetology school in the afternoons. A few months after graduating from high school, she completed her formal cosmetology training, obtained her cosmetology license, and she was off and running in her career.
In her free time, Laurie enjoys paddle boarding, bike riding, camping, all kinds of crafting, and playing with her white labrador retrievers.
After graduating from cosmetology school, Laurie rented a chair at a local salon while building her clientele. In 1999, by her 21st birthday, Laurie became an entrepreneur and opened her own salon, Expressions by Laurie, in the Total Image Beauty Mall in Tempe, Arizona.
Laurie understands confidence and self-esteem are closely connected to how we feel about our appearance.
